Praia de Salgueiros is an urban sandy beach in Canidelo, Vila Nova de Gaia (near Porto), with fine white sand scattered with rocky outcrops that sit in a shallow, gentle bay.
It holds the Blue Flag for water quality and safety, has excellent water quality as of 2025, and is accessible for people with reduced mobility, having won the +Accessible Beach award in 2022. The beach is regularly patrolled by lifeguards during the bathing season and offers showers, outdoor parking, umbrellas for rent, bars, restaurants, and surf and diving opportunities, though parking can be tight in peak summer.
Strong Atlantic waves make it good for surfing and bodyboarding, summer water temperatures average around 16°C, and the beach is also pet-friendly and considered beneficial for health due to the iodine-rich water.
