Praia de Santo Amaro de Oeiras is the largest and most popular beach in the municipality of Oeiras, located in Greater Lisbon, Portugal, situated in the parish of Oeiras e São Julião da Barra, Paço de Arcos e Caxias along the Tagus River estuary.

This urban beach features an extensive 700-meter sandy stretch with a gentle slope, forming a beautiful bay directly in front of the pleasant Oeiras Gardens and flanked by the scenic Oeiras Maritime Promenade (Passeio Marítimo de Oeiras) that is perfect for walking or cycling.

The beach is highly appreciated by surfers during winter months for its unique straight-shaped right-hand wave, and it also offers excellent conditions for bodyboarding and kitesurfing, while summer brings beach volleyball and beach football tournaments to the illuminated sands that stay lit around the clock on warm nights. As a Beach Blue Flag destination, it provides comprehensive amenities including beach support facilities, restrooms, showers with walkways, selective waste disposal bins, eco-friendly beach ashtrays, sunshade and umbrella rentals, small craft rentals, beach bars, and restaurants, all accessible from the promenade or via a pedestrian underpass near Jardim Almirante Gago Coutinho.

The beach is easily accessible by car via the EN6 road with nearby parking, or by train through Santo Amaro station on the Cascais Line, making it a crowded but convenient summer destination for locals and visitors seeking a beautiful sandy bay at the Tagus Estuary mouth with summer seawater temperatures of 17-19°C. The beach also serves as a good spot for birdwatching, particularly for the dark shrike species that frequent the rocks along the promenade near Forte de Santo Amaro do Areeiro.
