Praia de Santo António is a long, gentler beach on the easternmost coast of the Algarve in southern Portugal, right next to the town of Vila Real de Santo António and just west of the mouth of the Guadiana River, where Portugal meets Spain.

It is part of a wide, low‑lying stretch of golden sand backed by dunes and a pine forest, giving it a more natural and relaxed feel than some of the busier resort beaches nearby. The water here is notably warm and relatively calm, making it a comfortable choice for swimming and families, and the beach carries a Blue Flag designation that reflects good water quality, lifeguard coverage, and basic facilities such as toilets, showers, and a small beach bar.

Access is mainly on foot or by bike through the dunes and coastal paths, or by a small tourist train in summer, which helps keep the area quieter and more peaceful than the neighboring Praia de Monte Gordo.
