Praia do Barranco das Belharucas is a wide, golden‑sand beach in the Albufeira municipality of the Algarve, lying between the small coastal settlements of Olhos de Água and Aldeia das Açoteias and forming the western start of the long Falésia Beach stretch that runs east to Vilamoura.

It is named after the ravine (“barranco”) and the colourful European bee‑eaters (“belharucas”) that nest in the soft cliffs and vegetation along the cliffside path leading down to the water, giving it a distinctive, bird‑rich natural setting. The beach is large and open, with sand that stretches far along the coast, gentle slopes into the sea, and relatively calm but swimmable conditions, making it popular with families and sunbathers who enjoy a long, uncrowded stretch of sand away from the main resort hubs.

Access is mainly by a dirt track or a scenic pedestrian path winding through a lush, rocky gully from the upper road, and the area has basic facilities, restaurants, and sports‑focused activities while still feeling wilder and quieter than many classic Albufeira beaches.
