Praia do Carvalho is a small, secluded, and romantic beach located in the freguesia (parish) of Lagoa e Carvoeiro in the municipality of Lagoa in the Algarve region of southern Portugal.

This hidden gem is one of the Algarve's best-kept secrets, completely surrounded by tall rugged cliffs and accessed via a unique fossil-lined tunnel carved into the rock that feels like a secret passage, adding to its magical and mysterious atmosphere. The beach features soft clean golden sand rich in shells and crystal-clear, calm, turquoise waters that are shallow near shore but become deep very quickly, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling on regular summer days.

A perfectly centered rock formation in the sea creates an even more scenic and Instagram-worthy view, while the high cliffs on both the east and west sides provide fresh shade during morning and afternoon hours. The beach has no lifeguards, bathrooms, restaurants, bars, or any facilities, so visitors must bring their own water, snacks, and supplies, and there are no rentals available.

It is a popular spot for cliff jumping, with thrill-seekers climbing steps carved into the right-side cliff to jump from heights of 5–7 meters (16–23 feet) or from even higher on the left cliff, though visitors should be careful due to the lack of lifeguards and risk of rockfall from the cliffs.
