Praia Fluvial de Loriga is a stunning river beach in the village of Loriga, at about 770–800 meters altitude in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, Portugal, and it is the only river beach in Portugal situated in a glacial valley, the Vale Glaciar de Loriga, with crystal-clear, very cold waters that come directly from a mountain spring in the Ribeira de Loriga.

The beach is formed by beautiful natural pools and rock basins carved by nature, ideal for refreshing summer plunges, and it holds both the EEC Blue Flag and “Quality Gold Beach” awards from Quercus, recognizing its excellent water quality and natural environmental quality.

Facilities include a bar with terrace, restrooms, changing rooms, a first-aid post, picnic area, lifeguard service during the bathing season, accessible facilities, bike parking, and a children’s playground, making it a comfortable, family-friendly destination for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing in a serene, mountainous setting.
