Praia Fluvial do Pego Fundo is a river beach in the interior of the Algarve, near the town of Alcoutim, about 500 meters from the town center and close to the mouth of the Guadiana River.

It lies along the Ribeira de Cadavais, a small stream that feeds the beach with calm, shallow water, giving it a warm, almost jacuzzi‑like feel, especially in summer when the water temperature can approach 28–30 °C. The beach has a stretch of golden sand, well‑developed infrastructure, and facilities such as a garden, volley‑court, a small restaurant‑bar, toilets, and a parking area, as well as accessibility features like ramps and adapted equipment for visitors with reduced mobility.

It was once the only river beach in Portugal to receive a Blue Flag and still holds the “Praia Acessível” (Accessible Beach) label, making it a popular, family‑friendly spot for swimming and relaxing in a quiet, green riverside setting away from the typical Algarve coastline.
