Rwenzori Mountains National Park, located in Kasese District in western Uganda, is a spectacular mountain wilderness best known for the legendary “Mountains of the Moon.” The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains some of Africa’s highest peaks, including Mount Stanley and Margherita Peak, the continent’s third-highest summit.
