Sagonne is a small village in the Cher department of central France, known for its rich medieval heritage and peaceful countryside setting between the historic regions of Berry and Bourbonnais.

Its main attraction is the Château de Sagonne, a fortified castle built between the 12th and 15th centuries. Surrounded by moats and dominated by a large keep, the castle played an important defensive role and later became the property of Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the celebrated architect of the Palace of Versailles.

The castle preserves elements of both medieval and later architectural styles, including towers, historic rooms, murals, and collections linked to local history.
