Spitzkoppe, located in the Erongo Region of Namibia, is a striking group of bald granite peaks rising dramatically from the flat Namib desert, often called the "Matterhorn of Namibia" due to its distinctive pointed shape.

The granite that forms Spitzkoppe is over 700 million years old and was shaped by volcanic activity and erosion over millennia, creating incredible natural sculptures and formations. The highest peak, Gross Spitzkoppe, stands about 1,728 meters above sea level and rises roughly 670 meters above the surrounding plains.

The area is a popular destination for hikers and rock climbers, offering breathtaking views and challenging climbs.
