Sunnyside North Beach
Mount Eliza, Australia, Australia
Sunnyside North Beach is a small, clothing‑optional beach on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay at Mount Eliza in Victoria, Australia, about 12 kilometres from Frankston and 40–45 minutes’ drive from Melbourne.
It is legally designated as a nudist beach under Victoria’s Nudity (Prescribed Areas) Act, making it the only officially recognised clothing‑optional beach on the east side of the bay, with signs at each end marking the nude zone. The beach is about 500 metres of relatively narrow, sheltered sand backed by rock formations and bluffs, reached by a short walk from a small car park and concrete paths along the foreshore, and it is known for calm, clear water, privacy, and a mainly naturist‑oriented crowd, though it is not patrolled by lifesavers.
