Table Mountain National Park
Cape Point, Cape Town, South Africa, South Africa
Table Mountain National Park is a stunning 71-square-mile (1,850-square-kilometer) protected area running along Cape Town’s Atlantic and Indian Ocean coastlines, stretching from Signal Hill in the north down to the dramatic Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope at the continent’s southwestern tip.
Proclaimed in 1998 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Cape Floral Region, it is one of the world’s New 7 Wonders of Nature and features the iconic flat-topped Table Mountain, which visitors can reach via aerial cableway or challenging hiking trails like Platteklip Gorge.

Key attractions include the fenced Cape Point reserve with its scenic cliff-top walks and historic lighthouse, Boulders Beach where visitors can see a colony of endangered African penguins, Silvermine’s hiking trails, and numerous pristine beaches like Llandudno and Camps Bay.
