The Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens is an 11-hectare natural attraction located in the Gold Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia, just a short drive west from the Gold Coast.
The gardens uniquely blend sub-tropical rainforest with temperate climate gardens, featuring a colorful mix of exotic and native flora including roses, camellias, azaleas, perennials, and hydrangeas. Highlights include a glorious lake as the centerpiece, a tranquil Japanese garden, a 150-meter tropical rainforest walk, and numerous walkways with contemplative sites offering scenic vistas.
Established in 1983 by the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club, the gardens are entirely maintained by enthusiastic volunteers and are open daily from dawn to dusk year-round. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along easy walking tracks, bring picnics, use picnic areas, and attend workshops and events including annual plant sales, making it both a popular tourist destination and an important educational resource for the community.
