Teewah Beach
Australia, Australia
Teewah Beach is a long, wild stretch of sand on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, running about 51 kilometres from Double Island Point in Cooloola down to Noosa North Shore, within the Great Sandy National Park.
It lies right along the eastern coast of the park and is known for its towering sand cliffs, some reaching up to 200 metres high, and the famous “Teewah Coloured Sands” where iron oxides and plant matter create vivid bands of different‑hued sand. The beach is a designated road and 4WD camping zone, popular with people who drive along the sand, fish, kayak, or camp in a remote, dune‑lined setting just a short but adventurous drive from Noosa and Brisbane.
