Terwagne is a village and district in the municipality of Clavier, situated in the province of Liège in Wallonia, Belgium. The village has historical significance dating back to at least the year 817 and was an important stop on the medieval trade route between Lombardy and Flanders, particularly for Alsace wine trade.
It avoided destruction during various regional conflicts, including the War of the Cow and the wars of Louis XIV. Terwagne features historical buildings including a fortified farmstead from the 13th century called "la cense des Dames Blanches" and a Gothic Revival style church built in 1864 that contains furnishings from the demolished Saint Lambert's Cathedral in Liège.
The area is characterized by its rural charm and historical heritage within the scenic Condroz region.
