Villerouge-Termenès is a small village in the Aude department of southern France, located in the scenic Corbières region of Occitanie.

Home to around 165 residents, it is surrounded by rugged hills, vineyards, and protected natural areas that highlight the rural beauty of the region. The village is best known for its impressive medieval castle, once owned by the Archbishops of Narbonne. The fortress played an important role during the Cathar period and is particularly remembered as the site where Guillaume Bélibaste, considered the last Cathar perfect, was executed in 1321.

Today, the restored castle is a major attraction, offering visitors a chance to explore medieval architecture and learn about the history of Catharism.
