Yallingup is a small coastal town in the South West region of Western Australia, about 256 kilometres south of Perth and a short drive west of Busselton, sitting on the edge of the Indian Ocean within the Margaret River wine region.

It is known for its pristine beaches and world‑class surf breaks such as Yallingup, Smith’s Beach, and Three Bears, which attract surfers and visitors drawn to both powerful waves and calmer, sheltered coves for swimming and snorkelling.

The town’s name comes from the Wardandi Aboriginal language, often interpreted as “place of caves,” reflecting its nearby limestone cave systems and karri‑forest hinterland, while its rolling hills dotted with wineries, vineyards, and restaurants make it a popular destination for nature lovers, foodies, and wine‑tour visitors as well.
