Estonia
Estonia is a small country in Northern Europe, bordered by the Gulf of Finland, Baltic Sea, Latvia, and Russia. The capital is Tallinn, and the population stands at around 1.3–1.4 million. Estonia consists of a mainland and more than 2,200 islands. The official language is Estonian.
Estonia was part of various foreign empires before declaring independence in 1918, experiencing Soviet occupation, and regaining independence in 1991. It is now a member of the European Union and NATO. Estonia is known for its high level of digitalization, education, press freedom, and good governance, making it one of the most economically successful of the Baltic states.
