Grenada
Grenada is an island country in the West Indies, located in the eastern Caribbean Sea and is the southernmost of the Windward Islands. It consists of the main island of Grenada and several smaller islands in the southern part of the Grenadines.
The capital is St. George’s, and the country covers about 344 square kilometers with around 117,100 residents as of 2025. English is the official language. Grenada is often called the “Island of Spice” due to its significant production of nutmeg and mace.
The economy is built on agriculture, tourism, and services. Grenada became independent from Britain in 1974 and experienced a brief period of political turmoil in the 1980s before returning to stable governance.
