The Alfort National Veterinary School (École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort, or ENVA) is a French public institution for scientific research and higher education in veterinary medicine, located in Maisons-Alfort in the Val-de-Marne department just southeast of Paris.
Established in 1765 by Claude Bourgelat and moved to its current location in 1766, it is France's longest-established veterinary school and one of the four public veterinary schools in the country. Operated under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, the school serves about 800 students with 75 lecturers and 45 researchers, offering a comprehensive five-year curriculum covering all aspects of veterinary medicine.
The historic 11–12 hectate campus features notable attractions including the unusual Fragonard Museum of anatomical and natural history specimens and a botanical garden, both open to the public, and was recently modernized with the new state-of-the-art Agora building completed in 2021 that uses bio-sourced materials. The school is ranked #51–100 in the QS WUR Ranking By Subject 2026 and is served by the Paris metro station École vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort.
