Artificial Beach is a man-made crescent-shaped sandy beach located on the eastern seafront of Malé, the capital city of the Maldives, created from breakwater tetrapods to provide locals and visitors with a safe swimming and recreational spot.

This public beach features lush blue Maldivian waters that are not as deep as natural beaches, making it a famed swimming spot with lounging areas, a playground, cafes, and barbecue facilities for food lovers. The beach is easily accessible via public buses 101, 401, or 402 from downtown Malé, just 400 meters from Hulhumale Ferry Terminal and about 7 km from Velana International Airport, taking roughly 20-30 minutes to reach.

It hosts exciting cultural activities including colorful carnivals, live music concerts, and parades, and is ideal for romantic evening walks while watching picturesque sunsets. As a public beach in a conservative Muslim country, there are strict dress code restrictions with no swimwear allowed and women required to cover up.
