Balneario Público de Boquerón, also known as Boquerón Beach or Playa Boquerón, is Cabo Rojo's most popular and beloved beach for locals and Puerto Ricans, located just south of Boquerón town on Puerto Rico’s southwestern coast.

This mile-long arc of white sand is widely considered among the best public beach facilities in Puerto Rico, featuring crystal-clear calm waters perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming, with calm conditions making it ideal for families and children. The beach is designated as one of only a handful of Blue Flag beaches in Puerto Rico, recognized for its water quality, cleanliness, and environmental management.

It offers excellent amenities including on-site dining, restrooms, showers, changing rooms, picnic tables (both concrete and wooden), grassy lawns under towering coconut palms for shade, ample parking in multiple lots, and security, all maintained in a manicured, family-friendly environment. During high-season weekends the beach gets incredibly busy, but its large size still allows visitors to find relatively quiet spaces.
