Castle ruins in Kłaczyna, southwestern Poland, are remnants of a 14th-century quadrilateral fortress built on an island surrounded by the Nysa Szalona River waters, likely serving as a defensive outpost amid Lower Silesia's fragmented Piast duchies.

Destroyed during the Hussite Wars in the early 15th century, it was rebuilt in the 16th century, preserving attic finials from that Renaissance reconstruction phase with stone curtain walls and a fragment of a high square tower.

Probably devastated again in the Thirty Years' War without subsequent rebuilding, the overgrown site retains only these stone elements, offering a glimpse into medieval island fortifications now accessible amid scenic river surroundings.
