Château d'Aulteribe is a historic castle in Sermentizon, in France’s Auvergne region.
Originating in the Middle Ages and extensively restored during the 19th century, it combines medieval defensive features with romantic architectural elements, creating a distinctive and elegant appearance. The château is especially renowned for being one of the best-furnished historic residences in France.
Its interiors contain an exceptional collection of period furniture, Flemish and Aubusson tapestries, fine porcelain, and notable artworks, including a portrait of Cardinal Richelieu by Philippe de Champaigne. Bequeathed to the French state in 1954, the castle is now managed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and is open to visitors.
