Circuito de Playas
Lima, Peru
Circuito de Playas, also known as the Costa Verde circuit, is a coastal highway that runs along the cliffs of southern Lima, connecting the districts of Chorrillos, Barranco, Miraflores, San Isidro, Magdalena, and San Miguel.
It follows the Pacific shoreline for several kilometers and provides the main access to a long stretch of beaches, viewpoints, and seaside recreational areas used by locals and tourists all year round. The route passes right above steep cliffs so many of Lima’s beaches are only reachable via specific ramps and stairways from the road, and it combines beach access with a fast‑moving urban artery for cars and buses crossing the city’s western side.
Along the circuit you find popular spots for surfing, dining, jogging, and watching sunsets, including famous venues like the seaside restaurant La Rosa Náutica and the shopping mall Larcomar set into the cliffside, making it both a transport corridor and a key leisure zone for Lima’s coastal culture.
