Unlike the first beach, it features a refreshment kiosk rather than BBQ pits, along with changing rooms, showers, toilets, storage cages, rafts, and summer lifeguards from April to October, plus shark nets installed after 1995 incidents.

Access requires descending about 100 steps, making it less suitable for strollers or wheelchairs, with free parking often full on weekends; reach it via bus 91 from Diamond Hill, minibus 103M from Tseung Kwan O, or nearby taxis for a less crowded alternative to urban beaches.
