Cox’s Bazar Beach is a long, sweeping sandy shoreline along the Bay of Bengal in southeastern Bangladesh, often cited as one of the longest natural sea beaches in the world, stretching roughly 120–150 kilometers in an almost unbroken curve. It runs through the town of Cox’s Bazar in what is now the Chattogram (formerly Chittagong) Division and is the country’s top domestic tourist destination, drawing millions of visitors each year. The beach averages about 200 meters wide at high tide and up to 400 meters at low tide, with sections such as Kolatoli, Laboni, Himchari, and Inani each offering a slightly different feel, from lively town‑fronted stretches to quieter, more scenic arcs near waterfalls and coastal hills. Along the shore you will find countless small hotels, seafood stalls, and simple beach‑side eateries, and while the atmosphere is generally family‑friendly and safe, visitors are often warned about quicksand in certain spots at low tide.
