The Fairmont Empress, commonly known as The Empress, is a historic luxury hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, opened in 1908. Designed by architect Francis Rattenbury in a Châteauesque style, it was built by Canadian Pacific Hotels to serve affluent travelers arriving by steamship and train.

The hotel quickly became Victoria's social and business hub, hosting important events, royal visits, and celebrities over the years. It features elegant architecture with gables, spires, and a gothic touch, and includes a famous Palm Court with a stunning stained-glass ceiling.

The Empress has undergone several major renovations, including a $64 million restoration completed in 2017 that preserved its historic charm while modernizing facilities. The hotel is a National Historic Site of Canada and frequently wins awards for its blend of heritage, luxury, and prime location overlooking the Inner Harbour.
