Fort Saint-André is a large medieval fortress located on Mount Andaon in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, just across the Rhône River from Avignon in southern France.

Built during the 14th century, it was designed to reinforce the authority of the French crown and protect this strategic border area during a period when the popes were based in nearby Avignon. The fortress is one of the finest examples of medieval military architecture in France, featuring massive defensive walls, twin entrance towers, ramparts, and fortified gateways.

It also encloses the historic Saint-André Abbey and remnants of a medieval village. One of its main attractions is the spectacular panoramic view from the walls, offering sights of Avignon, the Rhône Valley, Mont Ventoux, the Alpilles, and the surrounding Provençal countryside.
