Hair Pin Beach, also known as Hairpin Beach, is a small gazetted beach located on the eastern coast of the Stanley Peninsula on Hong Kong Island, just north of the larger Stanley Main Beach.
It sits in a rocky cove with pebbly and rocky shoreline, surrounded by green hills and offering clear waters, so it is more suited to wading, rock‑pool exploring, and casual seaside walks than to regular swimming. The beach has barbecue pits, public toilets, and showers, but it is no longer officially open for swimming because lifeguard services were withdrawn and the area is not patrolled, making it a quieter, low‑impact stop tucked away near the busy Stanley waterfront.
