Hartmannswiller is a small village and commune in the Haut-Rhin department of the Grand Est region in northeastern France, within the historic area of Alsace.

It lies at the foot of the Hartmannswillerkopf (also known as Vieil Armand), a mountain in the Vosges range, and is surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and scenic countryside. The commune covers about 4.8 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 650 residents. It is located near the towns of Guebwiller, Thann, and Mulhouse, making it a quiet rural community with easy access to larger urban centers.

Hartmannswiller is known for its historical heritage, particularly its connection to World War I. The nearby Hartmannswillerkopf battlefield was the site of intense fighting and is now home to a memorial honoring those who lost their lives during the conflict. The village itself was heavily damaged during the war.

Visitors can also see the Church of Saint Blaise, which is surrounded by a fortified cemetery dating from the 15th century. Today, Hartmannswiller is appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere, Alsatian culture, local wine-growing traditions, and attractive natural surroundings.
