Hung Shing Yeh Beach
Hong Kong, China
Hung Shing Yeh Beach is a popular gazetted beach on Lamma Island, Hong Kong, known as the island’s busiest and best‑known stretch of sand.
It has calm, clear waters and a soft, golden‑sanded shore, making it well suited for swimming, sunbathing, and family outings rather than strong surf. The beach is equipped with basic facilities such as toilets, showers, changing rooms, and barbecue pits, and lifeguards are usually on duty during peak hours for added safety.
It is located on the western side of Lamma Island, reached by a roughly 25–30 minute scenic walk from the Yung Shue Wan ferry pier via the Family Trail, and is also famous as a great spot to enjoy peaceful sunset views over the water.
