Łeba
Poland, Poland
Łeba is a small coastal town on the Baltic Sea in northern Poland, situated between the Łebsko and Sarbsko lakes and at the mouth of the Łeba River, surrounded by forests and the Słowiński National Park with its famous moving sand dunes.
It first gained town rights in the 14th century and later developed into a popular seaside resort, especially after World War II, thanks to its clean beach, pine forests, and mild climate that is rich in salt and iodine. Today Łeba is known as one of Poland’s main summer holiday destinations, offering a long sandy beach, a fishing port, marina, and a lively promenade with hotels, restaurants, and family‑oriented attractions such as the Seals Sea Park, the Butterfly Museum, and the Avenue of Presidents with bronze hand casts of modern Polish presidents.
The town also serves as a gateway to the Słowiński National Park, where visitors can hike among shifting dunes and explore the unique dune‑forest‑lake landscape along the coast.
