Luengue-Luiana National Park in Angola’s former Moxico Province region is one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas, covering vast expanses of woodland, savanna, wetlands, and river systems in the country’s southeast.
It forms part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), an important cross-border conservation landscape that supports the movement of wildlife between several southern African countries. The park is home to elephants, buffalo, sable antelope, lions, leopards, giraffes, numerous bird species, and other wildlife, and is increasingly recognised for its ecological recovery, remote beauty, and opportunities for adventure and nature-based tourism.
