Mamer Castle is a historic château in the town of Mamer, in southwestern Luxembourg. Although a castle existed on the site as early as the 10th century, the current building was constructed in 1830 after the original structure had fallen into ruin during the period of the French Revolutionary Wars. Today, the castle serves as the town hall and administrative center of the Commune of Mamer. Located on Place de l'Indépendance near the town center, the complex consists of four buildings surrounded by landscaped grounds. The property was purchased by the local administration in 1995 and carefully restored between 1999 and 2002. Since then, it has housed municipal offices and community services. A notable feature is a sculpture honoring two famous Mamer-born athletes: Tour de France champion Nicolas Frantz and Olympic gold medalist Josy Barthel. Mamer Castle is valued not only for its historical heritage but also for its role as a prominent civic landmark in the local community.
