Manjanggul Lava Tube, located on Jeju Island, is one of the world’s largest and most impressive lava tube caves, formed by volcanic activity thousands of years ago.
Part of the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System, it is recognized as a key component of the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its outstanding geological and scientific value. Stretching for several kilometers, the cave contains remarkable volcanic features such as lava stalactites, lava stalagmites, rock formations, and one of the largest known lava columns in the world.
Although only a section of the tube is open to visitors, it offers a unique opportunity to explore the underground landscape created by Jeju’s volcanic past and is one of the island’s most popular natural attractions.
