---

Mission Lodge Lookout, also known as the ruins of Venn’s Town, is a historic and scenic site located on Mahé Island in Seychelles.

Established in the late 19th century as a school and settlement for freed slave children, the site preserves an important chapter of the country’s history and has been recognized as a national monument. Set high along the Sans Souci road within Morne Seychellois National Park, the lookout is famous for its breathtaking panoramic views of lush mountains, forests, and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

The peaceful setting and dramatic scenery make it one of the most photographed viewpoints in Seychelles. Visitors can explore the historic ruins while enjoying the spectacular landscape that once impressed distinguished guests, including members of the British royal family. Combining cultural heritage with natural beauty, Mission Lodge Lookout is one of the most memorable attractions on Mahé.
