Mnemba Island is a small, roughly triangular island located about 3 kilometers off the northeast coast of Unguja, the largest island in the Zanzibar Archipelago, Tanzania.

The island is approximately 500 meters in diameter and about 1.5 kilometers in circumference, surrounded by an oval coral reef that spans seven by four kilometers, designated as a marine conservation area.

This island is renowned for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and diverse marine life, including over 600 coral reef fish species, green sea turtles, dolphins, and whale sharks, making it one of East Africa’s top destinations for snorkeling and diving.
