The Morden Research and Development Centre is a federal agricultural research station in Morden, Manitoba, Canada, operated by Agriculture and Agri‑Food Canada as part of the Prairie Region’s Science and Technology Branch.

It focuses on improving key Prairie crops such as wheat, oats, barley, flax, and pulse crops, along with developing better production and protection practices for these plants as well as for ornamental and landscape species.

The center brings together scientists and technical staff who work on breeding, agronomy, and pest‑management projects to support Canadian farmers, industry, and food‑safety goals, and it is located on the historical Morden Research Station site, which also includes a long‑standing arboretum and test‑garden area.

The facility is open to the public in parts of the year, with the surrounding gardens and picnic areas often used as a local green space while the laboratories and experimental fields continue agricultural R&D.
