The Muttart Conservatory is a premier botanical garden and iconic landmark in Edmonton, Alberta, located in the North Saskatchewan River valley across from downtown Edmonton.
It features four striking glass pyramids designed by architect Peter Hemingway, housing one of Canada's largest indoor plant collections with more than 700 species of plants representing over 60 plant families. Three pyramids are climate-regulated biomes showcasing plants from arid regions (cacti, succulents, dry climates), temperate zones (mediterranean and subtropical plants).
Tropical environments (rainforest flora), while the fourth Feature Pyramid hosts rotating seasonal displays with themed exhibitions that change several times per year, such as the current "A Golden Anniversary" celebration and an upcoming Winnie the Pooh's 100 Acre Wood summer display.
