Peña Blanca Beach, also called Wishing Wells Beach, is a small, secluded beach tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Aguadilla on Puerto Rico’s northwestern coast, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, white cliffs, and excellent snorkeling.

The name Peña Blanca means “white stone” in Spanish, referring to the striking white karst cliffs and caves that border the beach. This tiny beach is not ideally suited for swimming due to strong currents and rough waves, especially in winter when there is often no sand at all—just rocks—but during summer or at low tide, a long, thin strip of sand appears for wading.

Snorkeling is the main attraction, offering crystal-clear water with diverse marine life, underwater caves, and even occasional green sea turtles, though visitors should wear water shoes due to very sharp rocks and sea urchins. The beach is free to enter with no lifeguards or facilities like bathrooms or food stands, so visitors should plan accordingly and may need to pay a small fee for parking in someone’s yard nearby.
