About 100 kilometers south of Recife and just 56 kilometers from Porto de Galinhas, it offers a serene escape framed by coconut palms, warm turquoise waters, and a long stretch of soft, white sand.

The beach is known for its natural tide pools formed by coral reefs just offshore, which can be explored during low tide by jangada — traditional wooden rafts that glide over the shallow, crystal-clear waters. These pools teem with colorful fish and offer a tranquil snorkeling experience.

While much of the beachfront is privately owned, visitors can access the area through resorts or restaurants that offer day-use facilities. The surrounding region is part of an Environmental Protection Area, helping to preserve its ecological integrity and limit overdevelopment.
