Puerto Hermina Beach (Playa Puerto Hermina) is a secluded, hidden-gem beach located at the end of Road 4485 in Quebradillas, in the San José area of northwestern Puerto Rico, about 1.5 to 2 hours west of San Juan.

This unique oceanfront spot offers soft sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, beautiful rock formations, and lush green cliffs, making it a picturesque place for relaxation and enjoying beautiful scenery. The beach is famous for its year-round excellent surfing conditions with strong waves and currents, making it more suitable for surfers and bodyboarders than swimmers, though conditions can vary from calm to rough depending on the surf.

Visitors can explore historical ruins supposedly linked to the famous pirate Roberto Cofresí's hideout, see small caves along the path, and view La Cabeza del Indio, an Indigenous head carved into the rock across from the picnic pavilions. The beach offers shaded picnic gazebos perfect for lunch, excellent snorkeling and spearfishing opportunities with diverse marine life including tarpon and squid, rock climbing on five moderate sport climbs near the parking lot, and hiking trails through the forest to a bridge with stunning canyon and canopy views.

Be aware that the beach is rocky at low tide, dangerous riptides exist, and the steep, winding road with blind curves requires careful driving, especially on busy weekends when parking can be difficult.
