Ramna Park, located in the heart of Dhaka, is one of the city's largest and most beloved green spaces.

Covering about 68 acres, the park features a beautiful central lake, tree-lined pathways, gardens, and open lawns, providing a peaceful escape from the busy urban environment. It is often called the “lungs of Dhaka” because of its importance as a natural and recreational area. Originally developed during the British colonial period, the park has evolved into a major public space for walking, jogging, relaxation, and outdoor activities.

Its rich collection of trees and landscaped surroundings make it a popular destination for residents seeking fresh air and natural beauty. Ramna Park also holds cultural significance, especially as a venue for the annual Bengali New Year (Pohela Boishakh) celebrations, which attract thousands of people each year. Combining history, nature, and cultural traditions, it remains one of the most iconic and cherished landmarks in Dhaka.
