The ruins of the 13th-century knight's castle in Dobra, located in the Łobez County of West Pomeranian Voivodeship, represent the remains of what was once one of the most powerful and monumental fortifications in Western Pomerania.

Originally constructed by Przybysław IV on a strategically elevated hill surrounded by wetlands, the castle underwent a significant Renaissance renovation in 1538 for the notable Pomeranian statesman Jobst von Dewitz. The structure suffered damage during the Thirty Years' War and was further compromised in 1808 when a new owner ordered parts of the castle to be demolished to repurpose the materials. 

Today, the site features surviving remnants of the medieval defensive walls, sections of the hexagonal tower that reach about nine meters in height, and the evocative ruins of the old and new residential wings. 

These preserved elements, which include brickwork from various historical periods, continue to serve as a significant destination for history enthusiasts and researchers exploring the region's cultural heritage. Recent initiatives have been undertaken to protect and secure these historic ruins for future preservation.
