Ruiny zamku w Lanckoronie is a 14th-century royal castle ruin perched on Lanckorońska Góra hill overlooking the charming village of Lanckorona in Lesser Poland.

Built by King Casimir the Great around 1345-1355 on a rectangular plan with a cylindrical tower, it served as a strategic fortress guarding routes to Kraków and changed hands among noble families like the Zebrzydowskis, Lanckorońskis, and Wolskis.

Occupied by Swedes in 1655 and later a key stronghold for the Bar Confederates from 1768-1772 under leaders like Maurycy Beniowski—who fortified it with bastions—it was besieged, captured by Austrians after Poland's First Partition in 1772, repurposed as a prison, and ultimately demolished starting in 1884.

Today, only foundations of two towers, fragments of the shield wall, and a scenic viewpoint remain, offering panoramic views amid a historic site conserved since 2000.
