Saint‑Ulrich, more accurately known as Château de Saint‑Ulrich, is a medieval castle ruin overlooking the town of Ribeauvillé in the Haut‑Rhin department of Alsace, northeastern France.

Perched at about 528 meters above sea level, it is one of the famous Three Castles of Ribeauvillé and offers impressive views of the surrounding vineyards and valleys. Built in the 11th century, the castle served as the principal residence of the powerful Ribeaupierre lords for several centuries. It played an important defensive role by controlling a strategic route through the region and successfully withstood multiple medieval sieges.

The ruins still display notable elements of medieval architecture, including a keep, a knights’ hall with Romanesque windows, defensive walls, and a chapel dedicated to Saint Ulrich of Augsburg, from which the castle gets its modern name. Abandoned by its noble owners in the 16th century and later damaged during the Thirty Years’ War, the castle has become one of Alsace’s most important historic landmarks.
