Schloss Haynau
Chojnów, Poland
Schloss Haynau, also known as Zamek Piastowski w Chojnowie, is a historical castle in Chojnów, Poland, originally built in the 13th century as a Gothic stronghold near the city's southwestern edge. It was significantly rebuilt as a Renaissance residence in 1546–1547 by Prince Frederick III, after being damaged by fire and war, and served for a time as the seat of the Duchy of Haynau.
Only parts of the original structure remain today, having lost much of their original style, but the castle now houses the Regional Museum, making it a notable monument in Chojnów's historical landscape.
