Shuangfengzhai is a large fortress in Shitang Village near Shaoguan, Guangdong, China, and local travel sources describe it as one of the biggest fortresses in the province. It was built between 1899 and 1910, so it is relatively recent compared with the village’s older history, and it reflects the defensive architecture of the late Qing period. Today it is usually visited as part of a trip to Shitang Village, where people also come to see old houses, traditional customs, and nearby scenic spots in the Danxia area.
