Søborg Slotsruin is the remains of a major medieval castle located in North Zealand, Denmark, near the village of Søborg.

First mentioned in the 12th century, it was one of the strongest and most important castles in medieval Denmark, serving both as a royal residence and a high-security prison. The castle played a significant role in Danish history and was associated with several members of the royal family. Queen Margaret I, who later united Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, was born there, and a number of important political prisoners were held within its walls.

Originally situated on an island surrounded by water and strong fortifications, the castle was destroyed in the 16th century and gradually fell into ruin. Today, visitors can explore the preserved remains and enjoy the scenic landscape around the restored Søborg Lake, which combines medieval history with natural beauty.
